"Webb: And yet as a trader, you've got to steel yourself against the uncertainties of the market. You gonna let a few li'l bugs in a beta get to you?"

Brooke,
I know that I must have said it wrong. If a trade goes opposite from what I planned, I would prefer to know why if at all possible. Maybe it was something that I over looked, or some market condition that I did not fully understand. With software, I want it to run as designed. Thus when something goes wrong, I want to know that it is my system that is at fault. With beta software, you just never know.

One of my hobbies is target shooting. I know exactly what the rifle is capable of doing. Thus when I miss an "x", it is something that I did and not the rifle. I would hate to think that I had a perfect sight picture and that the rifle caused me to miss. Some would call it compulsive, but I really want to know what is happening.

When I asked about getting the update, I did not know that I was requesting the beta version of the program. I thought that the final release had been made.

On another subject. Do you know of a way in QP2 to start a scan on a given date and end on another? What I would like to do is test Richard's thought about the percent of trading volume compared to the float of a stock. My thoughts would be that you would have to make the comparison for a large group of days to come up with the percentage cut off point. I hope that this question is kind of clear.

Brooke, I'd like to build a scan which will look for a horizontal consolidation period so I can then look for breakouts/breakdowns. Have you developed such a scan?
