OK, your guy is right. When it all get's moving, SGI will be a player. Or Sun might be a big player. Or maybe even Unisys might be a big player. I guess what I am trying to say is that any one of these companies can become a player if they buy CCUR. With their own technology, they will be spectators.

Anyone who truely believes that the major server companies are just sitting back with killer technology and applications ready to pounce as soon as CCUR sets up systems with 3 or 4 MSO's is sadly misinformed. If they had it, they'd be here. SGI provided the server for the Full Service Network in Orlando. Don't you think if their server worked and was even somewhat economical, Time Warner would have chosen them. 40 companies entered the competition for TW's server business and only two emerged. CCUR has also had the benefit of working with SFA over the past 6 months to perfect their system in the field and integrate it into cable headends.

I continue to beleive (maybe wrongly) that another major player will emerge as competition over the next two years. However, Corky has only assummed that CCUR will grab 15 to 20 percent of the market. That means there is room for at least one or two other players. Based on the current view, it is seems Corky's prediction may be low.
