Thanks Terry. I find myself learning from your post. I pay some attention to volume, but perhaps not as much as I should.

I'll recommend a book to you and everybody on the thread. Boy, this was fun reading. It's called "How I Made $2,000,000 in the Stock Market" written by Nicolas Darvas. It's a true story about a man who first got involved in the stock market I think in his late 30's. By profession he was a dancer and as his group was touring the world he had to call in to his broker his trades from all over the globe. Using a system he developed, he eventually turned $30,000 into $2M in about an 18 month period. By the time Time magazine caught up with him, they didn't know if his stock market success story was a market myth or if he was the real deal. So they asked to interview him and to see him dance. To this Darvas wrote something like, "Not only did they not believe I had success in the market, they also didn't think I could dance!" It was pretty funny.

The book was written many years ago but is still on bookstore shelves today. FYI.

..OT..

Hi Terry & Chris

I'm new at this also, and have made a lot of the same mistakes that you did Chris. My problem includes the fact that I am very limited on time. I work full time, and investing is more of a hobby for me. I learned the hard way to filter out the hype and bashing on the SI threads, but not before losing some money. I have no time for intensive DD of my own, so I look for DD posted on SI, and take it all with a grain of salt.

I might mention that the one penny stock I have stuck with, and continue to add to my position with, is NSKY. Not hyping, but this is a fully reporting company with a lot of potential (from the DD posted on the thread). I have always been impressed with the lack of hyping and bashing on the thread (unlike so many others). You might want to take a few minutes to review the thread posts.

Anyway... good luck on your investments. I'm holding PLRP for the long run also.

8^)
