The precedents are so limited that it is hard to get a read on what may happen (impeachment going into triple witching).

I don't think it's nuts I just would be inclined to leg into such a trade.

I have not looked at the Implied Vol on the Index options; of course, the premium will be stripped good once something happens one way or the other but the concept of the trade seems sound.

I do disagree with Ground Zero; I think the failure to impeach will see a rally but it will be short-lived....then again GZ thinks in terms of months and I in terms of days so who knows.
