Oh, Intel chips had the problem. They just sucked up to Microsoft and dumbed-down the chips...of course, at that time that had to because
Win95 was the "cutting" edge.
Behave, will ya...

Thanks for all the advice,

I just got back from ordering from my friendly local "box" maker. AMD K6 400, Super 7 MB, 128, Nvidia Riva TNT 16MB, 4th gen DVD, Jaz, AL 48s w/subwoofer, 12GB HD, 19" .22 dp, MS Sidewinder Pro, 250 watts, yada, yada, yada. $2,000.00.

Should I consider 3Dfx Voodoo? Two more cards? More heat.

Bruce

Paul,

>Re: No - Intel processors are not too slow.

>They don't have the problem...period.

Paul are you saying there is no problem or just denying that it is exactly the identical problem as with AMD parts.

Or is it somebody else's problem not Intels.

Regards,

Kash

Paul,

They don't have the problem...period.

Everybody has the same problem. It is called the "Henry Hyde" Christmas bug. It is a brilliant strategy to force a lame duck Congress to vote to impeach a popular President right before Christmas.

NSM 4:24PM 13 5/8 -1 3/4 -11.38%
AMD 5:01PM 28 9/16 -1 5/8 -5.38%
INTC 4:01PM 111 9/16 -4 7/8 -4.19%

How low is it going to go this week?
