Chuzz - May I sum this up by saying!? This stupid sh*t is costing us some money! We have had several Republicans unseated here in Arkansas lately. One, was the bright boy MD, Dr. Boozeman who proclaimed that a "Raped Woman" could not get pregnant because the hormones needed were not there under duress. These are the brilliant people who will lead us to short term losses to satisfy their desire for impeachment. I know I'll be more active in the next elections (i.e., throw the bums out).

*****OT*****

CTC,

Re >Whether Clinton perjured himself or not is not the issue.<

Considering no RATIONAL person can deny that he committed perjury it is no surprise that you would claim that that is NOT the issue. Unfortunately, for you and Willy, you are wrong. That is exactly the issue and all the claims to the contrary cannot change that core fact.

As to Jim's claims of adultary by certain Republicans, even if true, those alleged adulteries are beside the point. The charge is PERJURY!!! Any alleged crime by others has NO bearing on the question before us.

"Did he commit perjury and if he did should he be impeached?"

All the rest is smoke (or is it dry ice).

BTW Whitewater resulted in how many indictments and convictions?
Were all those FBI files obtained legally as you seem to imply?
Why were the DoJ and IRS harrassing the fired head of the travel office? Why did Clinton fire everyone in the travel office? Under what bed were the subpoenaed Rose Law Firm billing files hidden until Hillary found them in plain sight on a table? But all this stuff is just a fantsy in the minds of a few right wing radicals so we can just ignore it, right? I thought so. (sigh)

~OT~ Chuzz, it's not the religious right that is driving the impeachment hearings. It is the rule of law. Regardless of the significance of the material covered in the lie, a lie under oath in a grand jury by the highest law enforcement officer in the country cannot be permitted to occur. Imagine what kind of precedent would be set if it were allowed. What other things could be lied about with impunity?

Just as with Richard Nixon, it is all about the lie. Clinton is the dumba$% that has put himself in this position, and unfortunately the country will be subjected to an impeachment and trial in the Senate. Maybe the trial will end in his favor, and maybe it won't. In any event, the constitutional responsibility and authority rests with the House to take the action currently in progress.

This all could've been avoided had he not committed perjury. And therefore, he is the one who is responsible for this mess.

It's a shameful situation.

Regards,

LoD
