This has been a strong rumor in Houston, and headhunters seem to be flooded with Systemhouse resumes. EDS is as popular as the plague as an employer, and seems to have the organization of a blindfolded fire drill during an earthquake.

One thing of interest to me, EDS has a strong aversion to being the deep pocket in front of serial or class action suits. Since IBM and some other companies are curtailing Y2K consulting, do you think EDS will see a large contingent liability in the Systemhouse Y2K practice?

Any idea when this deal might be set to close if it is announced next week?

I found this post from '98 re: the sale of SHL Systemhouse to EDS. The fact that "Ebbers did not want SHL with the MCI deal and stated last spring (spring of '98) that we would eventually be sold" is interesting to me; can anyone corroborate this? I'd really like to know if it's true. Thanks,
Alex G.
