Not necessarilly...

There are other Dos's other than MS DOS....

There is DR Dos and Caldera Open Dos and IBM PC Dos all of whic have a version 7 that has nothing to do with Windows 95.

>>If an advertised computer says;
Operating System: DOS 7.0

Does that mean Win95 then to us computer challenged?

Although Sean is correct as to other possibilities,
as far as I know none of the mentioned
OSs are currently being maintained. IBM's PC DOS license
expired a couple of years ago and Microsoft declined to
renew it, or so I read. DR-DOS did have a version 7.0
out several years ago, but it's odds-on that
the ad referred to Win 95 DOS, IMO. As to why, I could
only speculate, but I'll skip it as I suspect it would
reveal innate hostile feelings toward marketing types <g>.

Glad you found a great auction notebook buy, Steve. Where'd you get it, and how competitive did you find the various auction sites?
