now that the scenario is a lot clearer, has anyone given any thought to whether it is more advantageous to announce a contract during this year,or should they wait for the next....Im thinking 12/31/98 is an interesting date for VLNC

interesting point about the Euro being a major competition to the Dollar....I tend to agree with you...although I disagree with the time frame...IMHO ..the Euro will cause some turmoil, but mostly in Europe....the currencies (Economies) of the countries joining the Euro are very different indeed...the danger is to keep the Euro stable within the EU currencies...that will prove to be very difficult the first few years...(wild guess that maybe some countries will have to temporarelly leave the Euro again)...as well as the interest difference of the $ and the Euro is still quite big...
$ around 4.5 % ...Euro around 3 %.....well there is much more...but don't want to waste the VLNC thread for that...
IMHO we are save in the $ and VLNC....
