Radiolinja and Nokia sign USD 160 million frame agreement for dual band GSM solutions

(December 16, 1998) - Nokia and Radiolinja, Finland, have signed a three-year frame agreement for provision of equipment covering both GSM 900 and GSM 1800 frequencies. The contract is valued at almost USD 160 million. (FIM 800 million).

Nokia will supply GSM 1800 and GSM 900 base stations, base station controllers, its short message service centre and the Nokia Network Management System. Nokia will also provide Intelligent Network solutions, enabling Radiolinja to further its value-added service offering.

Under the agreement, Radiolinja will additionally take the Nokia MetroSite High Capacity GSM base stations into use.

"The objective for Radiolinja is that we have the most advanced solutions from which our customers can benefit," says Pertti Malva, Managing Director, Radiolinja. "The amount of subscribers for our nationwide dual band network is increasing rapidly. Voice and short message traffic has more than doubled in one year and new GSM data services will require more capacity from the network."

Nokia signs millenium sponsorship deal with CNN International

(December 21, 1998) - Nokia is to sponsor 'Voices of the Millennium', a year-long series of new millennium programme features
on CNN International, in its first-ever sponsorship campaign with the world's news leader.

The campaign, which includes sponsorship credits and 30-second advertising spots, launches on 1 January 1999 on CNN
International's Europe/MiddleEast/Africa and Asia Pacific feeds, reaching a total of more than 125 million households across the
regions.

'Voices of the Millennium' will be a collection of specially produced programme 'shorts' featuring comment and reflection on
events and issues affecting mankind, from celebrities, newsmakers and everyday people around the world. Airing everyday
throughout the year, 'Voices of the Millennium' will be the first of CNN International's millennium programming to launch in 1999.

Martin Wright, vice president global client solutions, Turner Marketing Solutions Group, said, "Nokia's sponsorship of 'Voices of

Nokia warrants exercised for share subscription

(December 21, 1998) - A total of 607,090 A shares with the nominal value of FIM 2.50 were subscribed for after the previous
increase in the share capital was registered on December 2, 1998. The shares were subscribed for with the warrants attached to
the bond loans issued to the key personnel of Nokia. With the warrants of the 1994 bond loan, 29,928 shares were subscribed
for at the price of FIM 374 for eight shares. With the warrants of the 1995 bond loan, 164,800 shares were subscribed at the
price of FIM 168 for two shares, and with the warrants of the 1997 bond loan, 412,362 shares were subscribed at the price of
FIM 307 for two shares. The issue of these bond loans was approved by the Annual General Meetings of April 7, 1994, March
30, 1995 and March 25, 1997.

The increase in the share capital, in total FIM 1,517,725 was registered in the Finnish Trade Register on December 18, 1998. As
a result of the increase, the share capital of Nokia is now FIM 1,507,304,120 and the total number of shares is 602,921,648.
Nokia received as additional shareholders' equity in total FIM 78,539,901.

The holders of the new shares are entitled to all shareholders' rights from the registration date. The new shares will be listed at
the Helsinki Stock Exchange together with the old shares on December 21, 1998. Listing of the shares will also be applied for at
the Frankfurt, London, New York, Paris and Stockholm Stock Exchanges.

The subscription for shares with the Nokia 1995 and 1996 bond loans with warrants began in December 1997 and with the Nokia
1994 bond loan with warrants in December 1998.
