Hi Rick,

You beg to differ ?? Sorry, but the "if it is overpressured" was a direct quote from your prior post!! So, why can't I say it if you can ?? <ggg>

Is there any cross faulting on this structure ?? Know of any other turbidite reservoirs that are continuous for 14x2 miles ?? Believe what you wish.

The high pressured analog that made ~8,000 bbls oil and an ocean of water dos not demonstrate any areal extent of a highly over pressured Temblor. In fact, to me it suggests just the opposite !! Got any other examples ??

The water at ELH is of absolutely NO concern to me. The water will be easily dealt with on the replacement well.

Yep, if you don't see how this well could piss steam for three solid days before the geyser formed, then you do need that reference on coning theory!

The majority of casing failures are "abrupt" not progressive events so I have difficulty seeing how this well would have pissed steam for 3 days if such was the case here. (You got a good reference on casing failures that you can send my way?? <gg>)

....the oil companies believe the 7" lap liner failed.

That makes a lot of sense to me. Remember, they had a very difficult time with that liner and the cement bond is likely to be terrible!!

That lady of yours will sure look good in Midnight Blue. <ggg>

Later,
grayhairs

Incidentally, I have it directly from very "high-ups" at Berkley and Westminster, that the oil companies believe the 7" lap liner failed. I wasn't even aware that a 7" liner was run to 17,640 feet.

It is interesting that you mention this. Another play I am following at South Fort Stockton-Winfield Ranch (Gothic Resources et al.) has had their equipment fail, and are seeking damages from the company that made the equipment. I wonder if the same company was supplies the Lost Hills prospect. Is this type of equipment failure whether it is a liner, casing, or drill typical?
