<Don't you yankee folks put up any outside lights for Christmas ? ? ?
>

Not if I can help it; In Scott's neck of the woods they probably would get buried under snowfall until April or May.

Around New Jersey it attracts muggers.

Nemer & Pat,

One benefit to winter is that you don't have to mow the grass....and there are no bugs. Now if I could just figure out how to make the snow miss the sidewalks and driveway I wouldn't mind this winter business all that much!

Heck, so far this year it has been extremely mild....too much so. No snow and by and far temps that during the day hit the mid-50's most of the time. Very unusual for this time of year, but I am not complaining.

I keep having to tell the kids that snow will be coming and they don't have to get all worked up about it. It will be here....I suppose if you don't have to shovel the stuff and all you do is play in it, you want it ASAP. I guess I did as well when I was a kid....

Nemer....better keep up with the Jones's.....and I don't mean Jerry.

Buy more lights! Make this a retailer's dream Christmas and send me some goodies!

Pat, me too...thinking long side, however, that is a gutt call only.... SPX 1140...if we get near that again, I think it is a definite buy....

Good Luck.

-Scott

EDIT - Putting lights out is not the problem....it is taking them down in January or Februry that is the problem. It is too cold, there is too much snow and basically it is just plain unpleasant. Most of the years putting them out can be accomplished on a 50+ day....taking them down always seems to be on a less than 20+ day. Ugly stuff.....and of course you cannot wear gloves...so the fun just escalates! :)

An SI Friend sent this over....

A Texan walks into a pub in Ireland and clears his voice to the
crowd of drinkers. He says, "I hear you Irish are a bunch of
hard drinkers. I'll give $500 American dollars to anybody in
here who can drink 10 pints of Guinness back-to-back." The room
is quiet and no one takes up the Texan's offer.

One man even leaves. Thirty minutes later the same gentleman who
left shows back up and taps the Texan on the shoulder. "Is your
bet still good?", asks the Irishman.

The Texan says yes and asks the bartender to line up 10 pints of
Guinness. Immediately the Irishman tears into all 10 of the pint
glasses drinking them all back-to-back.

The other pub patrons cheer as the Texan sits in amazement.

The Texan gives the Irishman the $500 and says, "If ya don't
mind me askin', where did you go for that 30 minutes you were
gone?".

The Irishman replies, "Oh...I had to go to the pub down the
street to see if I could do it first".
