LOL! I guess maybe I should have saved some time and perused the prior posts of that fellow...regardless, your submission is excellent!

I am trying to get the correct mental image of the dead bird and how it relates to the filth, but I'm stuck. Is it a rotting bird carcass that is the actual filth here? If so, I am having trouble identifying, since I have seen very few bird carcasses that connect in my mind with actual filth.

I've seen small mammals rotting, which might have been the better choice for me. But, to each his own, as far as animal invectives, I suppose.

My favorites, actually, are Things From The Sea. Slug dung, for example, is much more amusing as an invective than a simple dead bird. (and now my post is on topic!) Whale phlegm. Lobster snot. You get the concept.

By the way, I am reminded of a film, "Five Easy Pieces". There is one scene where Jack picks up a hitchhiker and she starts raving about filth. That was funny. The movie is worth seeing just for the famous Incident With the Waitress in the Diner scene.

Thanks again!
