Damien...

>>I'm still interested in the '99 earnings estimates. Last time I looked, they were around 20 cents or so. Wouldn't you agree that such an outcome would be a bit disappointing?<<

I have no way of predicting their earnings for 99. I will have a much better chance after this Q and start to look at some trends.

I would "expect" that they need at least 0.30/sh. in order to start a very meaningful breakout. The time for talking is now over.
Some of the reasons that I believe 0.30 is possible are:

Sales and marketing have been in place for enough time to start making significant progress.

Execelon is ready to start producing revenue in 99.

E-commerce is exploding and Object DB's are excellent for that.

They now have some excellent reference accounts and with DELL using Execelon as a beta that is another big positive.

Their PR is significantly better than it was say 6 months ago.

Year over Year revenue from licenses should take a big jump and that is high margin business.

The relationship with MSFT would appear to be in place for producing visibility and of course revenue from that visibility.

A couple of good yr over yr q's will get analysts attention.

Add all the above up and it is a good story IMO.

Indeed they need more developers using their products and a marketing program to encourage that would IMO, be of great value even if this cost a few cents of earnings in 99.

Finally, YES, the last price dip where I was lucky enough to add to my position at 4 (dead money according to ahahaha) is really paying dividends and I am now finally above water at long last.
