Good post Mike. Called my accountant to find out whether selling TDFX for a loss and buying STBI would be considered a wash sale. I guess the rules say substantially identical but I'm thinking that since the merger has yet to be approved by the stockholders, you can make the argument that they are not substantially identical. Combined company is going to have lots' more market value and shares outstanding. Should make it slightly more difficult to push the stock around. I guess I should start reading some back posts on STBI to get up to date on what we're buying. Shopping during Christmas time - I feel like a kid again. Joe C.
