Bob, you are correct. My confusion came from the quarterly report in which they only provided percentages based on $$$ volume. BTW, in looking at my estimate of desktop growth compared to your actuals I am pleased that I came pretty close.

But the other point I raised remains intact, and it certainly isn't a criticism of you. That is, the 10% benchmark that Kumar was referring to is inflated because it does not distinguish sales to the final customer from sales into the channel. So not only has he completely underestimated unit growth of desktops by Dell (he estimated only 8%), he is comparing that to a bogus figure -- and one that is undoubtedly inflated at that!
