Hey look at it this way...now you have an issue. You can say that Powell's politics have nothing to do with it and the GOP refuses to nominate him because he's black. Same old stuff, different lamebrain.

Isn't Alan Keyes anti-choice as well as in favor of nixing affirmative action? But nobody gives him a damn in the GOP because he is African-American.

Extremists would not, but I believe a majority of the Republican party could, especially in light of the mounting military risks the US will be confronted with.

People will be ready to make concessions to make sure they have somebody in the WH that can deal with them.
