OK, National Pubic Radio (NPR) just announced the PHG/GIC merger talks. This could go higher throughout the week with all of this publicity.

Actually I was recently looking into buying PHG stock myself because I saw some recent film footage from Japan and all of the HD TV's that I saw were made by PHG! So, this merger would actually fit my game plan in a strange way. Now what to do? Normally I would sell on the merger news, but I actually like both companies in this deal & maybe this would be a good way to acquire PHG by just holding onto GIC throughout the talks. PHG is a large, stable company that has it's foot in on HDTV bigtime as far as I can tell.

Any other long-range planners here?
