Only after Mid January. At that point Gore can slide under 10 years an run for re-election twice as an incumbent.

Steve, OT...... just a minor point .... many of the leaders in the Arab world actually derive large amounts of income from real estate and investments - heck they own a lot of the best parts of London (gnashing of teeth)!! they used to give a bit of it back with wild gambling ... but thats virtually stopped (there was a lot of scandal about incentives being provided (ladies of the night) so many licenses didn't get renewed). In the smaller countries, they actually use some of that for their respective countires ... Oman is a classic example. I guess thats the joy of being 'royalty'. They also have some real estate in the San Fran area, or so I am given to understand.

I haven't heard any strong debate about someone from the Democrats getting Clinton to resign - though it makes the best sense to me and something I have been hoping for. My understanding is that Clinton has always shunned the idea of having any senior politician as an advisor, pays no regard and has a 'bad' attitude to any party advice. I suspect he might tell them to go take a hike. I also think that he feels that if he resigns there is a greater chance of personal prosecution. I have heard the 3-4 month trial period mentioned more than once ... but I personally have no idea. I thought the Senate non-impeachement stance was based upon partisan realities rather than anyone liking him. Interesting times ..... and I'm starting to watch too much CNBC I think !!!

Best regards

Stephen

HI Steve; techstocks.com
And I saw Gore on TV this morning, he looked under pressure,
and like he had to burp with each sentence.
His eyes darted back and forth , reminding me of Nixion back in the
good old "I'm not a crook days"..
He started off pronouncing economics eeekonomicks.

The timing of this problem with Iraq has more than meets the eye,
Clinton is under pressure from the oil cartel to do something to get
the price of oil up. What better way than to shut down Iraq.
