It takes a simple majority to simply call the whole thing off in the Senate. Assuming 2 or 3 defections from the Democrats, like Moynihan and Lieberman, it will take about 8 or 9 Republican Senators to cross over and vote for ending this pathetic circus. I would reserve my opinion on the Senate Republicans at least until they get to that stage...

Robert, I agree with you about the mean-spiritedness on the thread.. Actually, I think the net brings out the worst in people, it does with me, I think.. Maybe a faceless conversation is easier to lash back.. I don't know.. About lying under oath or just lying, Is one worst than the other?? I try never to lie.. but I do to a certain extent,. It is a gray area... I don't know that either.. About a nation of laws, don't all nations claim to be a nation of laws..Again,, I don't know.. I don't know anything.. I wish I knew as much as so many claim to.. The Coug......still out there.....wondering and wandering
