-OT-

This is about the Canadian version of clinton forgiveness ? Maybe the province weight master should come and adjust your scales. EH?

We have over 100 recent (federal and not military) cases of prosecutions for perjury. Now how about the thousands of cases in the lower (state et. al.)courts and the military. And worldwide where English common law was the basis for government, how many more prosecutions? HOW many in your own Provincial Government?

Mounties don't look the other way. You should be proud of that!

~OT~ In reality, we can all spin this matter in a way which best suits our argument.

I believe myself to be a purist in my interpretation of the law, and the enforcement of it. In reducing the whole matter to its most germane form, I see it as perjury, and as perjury irrespective of any context.

If the chief law enforcement officer of the country cannot be held accountable for obeying all laws, then why should anyone else? I think the House is doing the right thing, and if it ends with the Senate not expelling WJC from office, then so be it. The rule of law would've been upheld.

To not go through the motions of attempting to uphold the rule of law, no matter how futile, would be a travesty. I don't ever remember reading about polls and town hall meetings in the Constitution.

Just my opinion.
