My problem is I don't want 3 drives on my system
Including the floppy? CDROM? Are you using the JAZ in lieu of a harddrive? Why is three drives a problem?

No Doubt. My computer has 9 drives....

Guess that wasn't very clear (made perfect sense to me), sorry about that. I was referring to 3 read/write drives that take removable media. I wasn't counting the HD(s?) and the DVD/CD. I'm thinking three drives (floppy, Zip and Jazz for example) are a problem because of room in the case and the amount of heat inside the case.

When you get around to doing your LS120 test I'd be interested in another test, if you have the time. That's how long does it take your LS120 drive to format a 1.44 floppy?
