OT re: who is confused I think you are badly confused on the subject of public opinion. This is the People's government not the politicians' government, and having created the Constitution we have every right to tell the politicians we have elected to listen to us. The meetings and polls are to help those politicians understand what the people feel. If they disagree with what the people say, they will have to suffer the consequences. If they have any sense, they will listen to us. We don't have to listen to them. ONT: I don't think you are confused on the subject of DELL.

-OT- LOD The confusion over representatives duty in any representative government has been with us for centuries. Does the representative, whether sheriff, congressman, assemblyman, senator or president vote his conscience or the whims of the polls, i.e "The will of the people". Does he succumb to the mob or hold his moral ground? The will of the people is expressed in the ballot not a CNN contrived poll. Your posts on -OT- politics are really clear and concise. Perhaps you should visit the "Coffee Shop" threads too. You are needed there. RW PS Thanks for putting -OT- on your posts. It shows that you are also courteous.
