From the Datek site:

Datek Online will not charge a commission ($9.99) for any marketable order that is not executed within 60-seconds. Our 60-second commitment applies to online orders that are marketable after 9:45 AM Eastern Time. The order must be marketable upon entry and remain marketable for 60 seconds. The order cannot be a short-sale, and the
market in the stock must not be crossed, locked or halted. This commitment does not apply to orders that are 'stopped' at a price by a specialist/market-maker awaiting price improvement. This commitment applies to all NYSE, AMEX, and Nasdaq stocks. The 60-second period is measured from the time that 'processing began' until the time the order is 'executed', as indicated on each electronic trade confirmation.

What a surprise!!<g> I guess this is finally their admission that they just can't handle trades at the open, and they have bit off more than they can chew. Bets are being taken for how long before they add the last 15 minutes of the trading day.<g>

I wonder how many other folks have their completed Roth transfer forms sitting in a pile on a desk somewhere in Datekland, waiting for the infamous "internal transfer form"? I don't even see the necessity of the form if the transfer is to and from accounts under the same person. You've already put your signature on the snail-mailed forms. I guess I can understand it if one party is transferring securities to another's account and signatures, or even a notary, is needed. Enough beating a dead horse.

Thanks
Dave

obvioussoft.com

I noticed it wasn't mentioned on this thread,
so I figured others would appreciate knowing about it.
It should save me a lot of time...
