1179-82 area remains the area of resistance, I would like to see this taken out even 1192 for any sustained move up.

One cannot ignore political ramifications on market of a strike on Iraq. Russia and China are not happy about this strike but they have never been happy anyway.

B-52 air launched cruise missiles are going to be released soon on Iraq, the strikes will continue and in 72 hours the US would like Saddam to sccumb and be ready for real concessions on the other hand this whole issue of time table puts extraordinary burden on US forces to wipe out Iraq's capabilities in a short time. This what concerns me the most if Saddam and his paraphanalia escapes unscathed from all this I would think we have bigger menace on hand, this is different as this time US needs some concrete changes in policies of Iraq if Saddam remains incharge and nothing happens I doubt US unquestioned leadership and resolve as the global super power will escape unharmed.

These strikes should bore positive results and this should be soon, the later being the most difficult part. Otherwise the resulting
colateral issues like questioned 'strategic global leadership' of US with Saddam still loose in mideast would hurt the markets badly.

Iraq will try hard to break up the global alliance and try to potray this as a US action alone, growing uncertainities will not help the market whereas a clear surgical strike and maiming of Iraq's capabilities to manufacture weapons of mass destruction would help. The Oil prices may break the 13 $ mark and move higher if no resolution is found, any retaliatory move by Iraq would also be defined by the markets as expanding of scope hence will not be viewed initially very positively, I would bet on a quick close to this crisis and difficult environment for Iraq to get the sanctions lifted off. Rising oil prices may put some support under falling CRB index and we may after a test of some supports like 1148 move back up to take out to test 1192. I will like to see how things unfold an Iraq ready to take unilateral pounding without any desire to rmeove the obstacles will prolong this crisis this is what US should avoid it has to quick and fast..
