Just a clarification it was for yr Jan 2000 calls.

I was wandering why the premium was so generous.

I don't think if I would have done that. The longest I would sell would be something like April or May. If there is an upside to NSM, I think it should come in 2H99.

Kash, I was wondering about premiums since I have Jan 99 $12-1/2 calls that are worth around $2-1/2. I hedged them a couple of days before earnings were announced by selling shares short at $16-3/8. Unless NSM goes below $12.50 my net position is unchanged .. and if it does, I'll be even happier.
