No, Zeev, not the omission of "bribery." You said: Treason, High Crimes and Other misdemeanors. My interpretation of "other" is simply actions of the same significance to the survival of the Republic as the first two. The way you worded it, it made 'treason' and 'high crimes' into misdemeanors. As in, "Betty, and Sue, and other hookers." (Maybe not a very PC example, but you get the point). My objection is that you seem to think that "other high crimes and misdemeanors" defines some narrow group or class of offenses. In fact, the term is intended to include an extremely broad range of activities, so broad that only the House of Reps can decide whether those activities do, in fact, fit the term. An impeachable offense is what the House says it is, nothing more, nothing less. The Judiciary Committee has made their attempt to define the term for this president. Each of us can agree or disagree, and attempt to influence the vote in the House (assuming we ever get to it) by writing to our Representative. But, none of us can say with authority that a particular action is or is not "Treason, Bribery, or other High Crime(s) and Misdemeanor(s)." jim
