Why convenient? It will only postpone the impeachment vote for a few days. And it is unlikely to change the way anyone votes.

The date for the bombing was known well in advance to those in the certain echelons of government. In all probability the Republicants knew of this and established the impeachment vote date accordingly. Thus, they could use their 'Wag the Dog' argument to blast Clinton when, in fact, they set the impeachment date based on the expected bombing date. So, instead of 'Wag the Dog', it's 'Wag the Wag of the Dog'.

Or, maybe you think the Republicans are above this? -vbg-
