You have to hand it to Bush: he was an excellent organizer. He got everybody on board. But he was afraid to follow through.

You'd be well served to get your history straight.

Our media is great at demonizing anybody our government doesn't like. On these issues there is as much media dissent as there used to be in the old Soviet Union. Remember we were allied with Saddam for many years. If he is a Hitler why did we help him for many years?

Not this is BS pure and simple. We have allied ourselves with tyrants all over the world, some of them much worse than Saddam (Suharto of Indonesia for instance) No Saddam's only sin (and this is unforgivable to the imperialist crowd in Washington) is that he refuses to follow US orders as do all the other Arab regimes in the area. If he became an obedient puppet his crimes would be forgiven in an instant. I do feel that sooner or later the US will have to pay a heavy price for its imperialist bullying and aggression in the region.
