Les,

Got to correct you for once. It was
George Bush who put U.S. forces on the
ground in Somalia. However, it was
Bubba Clinton who gave the Army Rangers
the orders to capture warlord Adid which
resulted in 18 dead rangers, 100 wounded,
and two downed helicopters (plus about
1,000 dead Somalis). Bill Clinton got
lucky there. Nobody ever held him to
account over our stupid policy of going
from a humanitarian mission of feeding
the starving, to a military mission of
trying to capture a warlord. Just one
more of the enumerable times Bill Clinton
has slicked his way out of being held to
account for his pathetic foreign policy.

-John

Clinton's operation has no chance of working. He's only using one-tenth the force that the Gulf War force used and many of the military targets are off-limits.

Plus, we have practically given ourselves a deadline. The reason Clinton gave for going now was we wanted to do it before Ramadan. Well Ramadan begins Monday. I guess we have to be done by then if we are so concerned about violating the Muslim holy month.

By the way, Christians won't be too happy to be at war during Christman either.

Or else he was lying.

<< Clinton's operation has no chance of working. He's only using one-tenth the force that the Gulf War force used and many of the military targets are off-limits. >>

That means Clinton will look great if this operation turns out to be an overwhelming success. They are really bombing the shit out of Iraq. Heres hoping that they hit their targets, and that their targets are the right ones.

Plus, you are saying that many of the military targets are off-limits. I guess you have been thoroughly briefed at the Pentagon, or perhaps you are believing everything you hear! <g> (What an idiot! <g>)

It sounds like you are hoping for failure. American men and women are in harms way and you sound like you are hoping for failure! That's disgusting!

<< You're the one who expressed the opinion about using the attack to call off the impeachment. >>

You are a liar. I was happy that the impeachment hearings were postponed because I thought that would be best for our Country. I never even suggested that the attack was used to call off the impeachment. Those were your lying words

<< As for Vietnam, if you're going to complain about that. Complain about Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, and a number of other nation-building military campaigns under Clinton. >>

Are you that stupid not to realize that the campaign in Haiti and Bosnia were highly successful and saved and are saving countless lives? I guess the pictures, of Bosnia, on the news each night showing children being killed turned you on. What a jerk!

As far as Somalia goes, my dear mentally challenged friend, Bush putting our forces in Somalia right before Clinton was to take office was an incredibly poor decision and I question his reasons for putting our service men and women in harms way right after he was thrown out of office. It almost seemed to be in revenge for the people voting him out of office.
