<<<<OT--Pride + Prejudice>>>

<<<<" The hero of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" was named D'Arcy. (He was guilty of both.)">>>>

jbe, I must differ with you on this. My memory is that D'Arcy was perceived to be prideful and to prejudge others unfairly by the heroine early in the book, but later in the story we found that these were mistaken impressions.

jmho, of course, and my memory is far from flawless.
