i bought yesterday (1/2 a position) at 17.25 because my tech program (TC2000) indicates the bulk of the tax selling is over so, while the stock might drop a little more, i see more upside and i would expect it could move up rapidly on upgrades. i have seen several reports indicating that ERP / SCM will do well going forward. i might add some more when the stock starts to move. fwiw.

Should I be a buyer here?

John,

I'm viewing the negative tone positively from an investment viewpoint. Like yourself, I have yet to invest in PSFT, but am definitely interested. When the tone gets like this it is often indicative that the weak positions are to a large degree shaken out. Also, it provides alot more upside when things get better - assuming of course that they do.

I don't think anyone is thinking that PSFT's business is going to die,and even the most pessimistic forecasts that I've seen think ERP will grow 20 to 25% going forward. This space is not dead. Does PSFT have a good chance of growing with the market? I think so. To me the outlook is OK at current prices, but I'm waiting to make sure this stock will bottom out, as I think the potential of going lower still exists. When I buy I'll probably average in over time.
