As Ive said before, even though the extremists dont want to hear it, Clinton has done an excellent job of moderating all sides and getting some domestic legislation through that the republicans just didnt seem to want to address. The Brady Bill and IRS reform (not tax reform Im talking about the burden of proof issue) are 2 examples of things that SAT AROUND for years with absolutely no progress made when we had republican presidents. It just seemed like all kinds of common sense bills got vetoed. Im happy with Clintons presidency in terms of legislation. Of course the vindictive republicans have completely neutralized him now with their low class attack efforts. But, Im sure the Democrats will take control of the house again in 2000 and I also think Gore will win the presidency (especially if Clinton resigns now) so I know things will improve in a year.
