At least you admit this is "unlikely." In fact, it is not going to happen. That's like saying GM could make a lot more money if they didn't have to pay for steel, or a restaurant could make a lot more money if they didn't have to pay for food.

If Amazon quit paying for portal deals (ie, their main form of advertising) their traffic would cease to increase. Saying they could become profitable if they quit advertising is so ludicrous as to not even warrant debate.

Booster did not do his homework when he wrote this report. This is inacurate and baltently so from the most recent 10Q.
