Copy to a post on the Longport Inc. thread - "Friday December 11th I went to the Raddison Hotel in Philadelphia for a LongPort Inc.(LPTI) shareholders meeting. The meeting went from 9:30am to 4:00pm. This company is going to explode and NHLT will be right in the middle of it. This company has the ground breaking Ultrasound scanning device. The company is made up with physicians and scientist from the US and London. All of these people were present at the meeting. One of the people I met was Dr. Mary Dyson. She is the Co-editor of Gray's Anatomy and director of Guy's Hospital in London. I also met Dr. Fredrick Richardson, former Medical Director for the Kennedy Institute and Johns Hopkins. He is presently a department head at Yale Medical. It was wild, these people's sole purpose is to help the people in the world and they are going to get filthy rich doing it. They don't want anything to do with marketing nor are they concerned about how huge the profits will be. There FDA consultant spoke and said that he has been submitting 510K's for 20 years and this one is a winner. He said approval is about 90 days away. NHLT has exclusive marketing and sales rights for North America . NHLT will take this to its network of 3500 hospitals. Some of the physicians are projecting that this will be used in 8 different departments in hospitals. Physician's one after another spoke praising how much this is needed and how may lives it will save. It is also going to be used in sports medicine. When a player pulls a ligament or such they will no longer have to be run off the field to a hospital for an MRI. The scanning will be done right on the side line. All of the Major league baseball teams will be using them starting with this years spring training. These people want to be able to take this into the third world countries. Bowers CEO NHLT spoke on the marketing area for the scanner. Bowers put many of these people together because of his background. Anyway they showed the device and it's many applications. Detection of skin Cancer, tumors, wound healing. They can detect bed sores and pressure sores before they appear. 30% of the nursing home population has bed sores and this will be used in most of the nursing homes. NHLT has an exclusive marketing agreement with LPTI." Excerpt from the press release of December 7, 1998 - "John Schmitz, CEO of PanAmerican BanCorp, indicated that PanAmerican Healthcorp will provide expansion capital and marketing to incorporate National Health's POWERx Medical Benefits Network into PanAmerican's Patient Alliance of America. The Patient Alliance, scheduled to be launched in January of 1999, will forge a national alliance between healthcare service providers and patients, reducing the cost of healthcare to patients, regardless of their medical history. Schmitz said the agreement with National Health & Safety includes the national marketing of a new cancer detection technology for which NHS recently acquired the exclusive North American rights. The new technology is a soft tissue ultra-sound scanner." Taking all of this information into account, PanAmerican Healthcorp is entering niche markets in a big and profitable way.
