J. The networks only own a few stations each. The ownership groups, like LIN and Paxson own the bulk of the 1600 TV stations in the US.

KOMO is owned by Fisher Broadcasting............................

KOMO TV

KOMO TV, an affiliate of the ABC Television Network, is owned and operated by Fisher Broadcasting Inc. Fisher also owns KATU Television in Portland and 24 radio stations in Washington, Oregon and Montana.

And JVC/DIVI HD encoder is due in early, 1999.

Let me look at the latest issue of Television Broadcast mag for any info about LIN and Comark. LIN is well known as a large group owner with lots of NBC affiliates. I dont know which encoders Comark is using, but they and Harris are the main DTV transmitter and antenna manufacturers.

Sort of hard to look at HDTV signals with only a scope or two and no monitors in house.........
