Thomas this is a copy of an email from Sophie I received back in mid Nov when I asked her the same question. I understand that the caustic fusion results are being taken from a 500 kg sample of the 200 tons of the kimberlite taken from the test pits earlier this year. The reason they are doing the CF on this is to help establish a model of what the kimberlite in the Snap Lake area is like. This would help in determining grade prediction of of the kimberlite on the NW dyke. Here is the email for you information.

From the news release of Oct 5

"Caustic fusion analyses of kimberlite intersections obtained from this current program, as well as 250 kg from each of the two pits sampled this spring, are in progress and results will be reported when they are received. Results will contribute to the geostatistical database on microdiamond distribution that is being established on the NW dyke for purposes of grade prediction."

Three questions.

Was the 250kg mentioned in the NR new kimberlite retreaved or was it
from the 200 ton sample preciously take.?

Any word on the results of this analysis yet?

When do you expect them?

The 500 kilogram sample we are currently waiting for constitutes
250 kg from each of the two pits where the two 100 tonne samples were
extracted earlier this year. During the processing of the 200 tonnes, all diamonds below 1.2 mm were discarded. We kept 500 kg aside for caustic fusion analysis in order to recover those smaller stones to help build a grade-predictive model, against which we can compare all microdiamond results from future drill holes.

We are expecting the lab analysis soon! Never sure exactly when, but
hopefully sooner rather than later.

As you can see, the CF is being done on portions of the samples already taken from the test pits. There will not be any diamonds in excess of 1.2mm as they are already taken out previously. This CF is to help create a model which includes all diamonds, even those under 1.2mm, to build a data base to assist with grade prediction of the dyke. I hope this helps clarify it for you and others. Take Care!
