eBay is either succumbing to the analysts, or they are trying to hide their auction counts ti show that their growth has slowed significantly. They must just want their stock to rise on hype and not numbers.

I would bet you 10:1 that management is reading this thread and afraid of what we know.

Well, they are only hurting themselves. People LIKE to see how many auctions are going on in a particular category.

Guess what? They are going to have to go even further, because they are still posting numbers for the sub-categories.

This will require a little bit more work on my part, but I will STILL be posting auction counts.

And yes, if I owned eBay stock, I would sell it right now!!!
