When did you start taking prednisone? What doses? Mine, my prednisone use, was started by a pneumonia that nearly killed me in Aug-Sept of 1983 or 84. It didn't respond to antibiotics, because it wasn't really pneumonia, it was this other stuff. It scared my body good. Lying in bed, unable to get up on my elbows, one day I awoke and realized I was dying. Came close. Turned out I was. Prednisone was necessary. Been a number of incidents, including Hodgkins and anaphylaxis, since. But fun!
