Big day for MSFT -- most of the gains in the last half hour. (moved from 135 1/2 to almost 138) I have been puzzled why the stock has not moved as much as it should, considering the good news (judge's comments). Triple witching sure complicates things. I wonder if the last half hour is an indication that someone is going to upgrade the stock or raise earnings estimates on Monday. Dell and Intel had been up significantly all day and MSFT just moved in a big way in the final minutes. Hoping Goldman Sachs raises estimates Monday. The last time they did, the stock went from about 85 to 115 in a matter of days. Anyone one else have any comments on today's price move?

The impeachment will not have any impact on the market , and we all know that Republican can not get enough votes to pass the Senate. Livingston said he also had affairs, and the Republicans said it is forgivable . Henry High tell a lie about his affairs years ago , which destroyed a family( of course not his own), and the Republican said it is all right and forgivable. The President had an affair and Republicans said it should be investigated and impeached . What a double standard. In 1992 , when Bush started the Gulf war against Iraq, the Republicans said for the befinit of the country , the Republicans all stood behind the president, now in 1998, Clinton started the bombardment against Iraq, Republicans questioned the president about his motivation and timing. In 1996 , when Republican needed the votes of people, they said "We will listen to the people". In 1998 , when they wanted to fulfill their political ambitions by Impeaching the president, they said " we do not have to listen to the people" , even polls after polls showed that more than 2/3 of the people said the president has done something wrong , but it did not meet the standard of impeachment. People elected the president, Republicans wanted to step down the president by abusing their political power. The government is by the people , for the people, and with the people, which means the responsibility of officials is to hear the voice of the majority of people, and now the republicans want to do the opposit. We heard Sadam said we are do anything for the benefit of people, but we do not have to listen to the voice of people. The former USSR leader said we are dictators for the benefit of people , but we do not have to listen to the voice of people. Now the Republican said in public that they do not have to listen to the voice of people, but they are impeaching the president for the benefit of the nation. We smell the dictatorship in the American democratic system , and democracy is in crisis. The country is controlled by small group of people in the congress, whose sole responsibility is just to serve the benefit of the party and their own political ambition, and they can do anything they like to and do not have to listen to the voice of people . Its very sad , and democracy is dead in US . The congress in full of people whose sole goal is to serve their own political ambition and party benefit. People will not forget in the year 2000 election.
