Dan,

Allow me to butt in here. I see some parallels between the MSFT trial and BJgate and the publics reaction to these issues. The majority does not like to have the boat rocked. Removing the president over sexual matters, no matter how distasteful or possibly illegal, is viewed as much more threatening to political stability and pocketbook issues than maintaining the status quo. Same with MSFT, although on a lower level of importance. MSFT's OS's may or may not suck more or less, their business practices may arouse condemnation and cries of unfairness and illegality, but the investment community likes an unfettered marketplace and the majority of consumers view MSFT's products in a positive light and do not think they are being exploited or gouged. Again, rocking the boat with this litigation is perceived by the majority as causing more harm than good.

Regards, JB
