<<< his lies, perjury, obstruction and abuse of his office>>>

The answer is right in front of your nose dim-wit. It's called illegality.

We are sending Saddam the wrong message, by proceeding with the impeachment hearings today. Instead of showing him that the United States is united and willing to compromise its' integrity to defeat a common enemy we will confuse him and make him believe that we think even our President is subject to the rule of law.

We know that many in the world already laugh at us. They know that those in power shouldn't be held accountable for all their actions. It is more important to enhance ones' leaders power by overlooking meaningless principals, than to call them into account for some small infraction of the law.

The rule of law is a joke, as all of us know we all break several laws each and every day. The President is one of us and if he breaks a few laws who really cares, except partisan opponents? Lets' return to the rule of men. In that way our leaders will be able to rule us better and will in response to our compassion probably be very fair and compassionate rulers.

You have no proof that character matters unless you are willing to put it to the test. This cannot be done unless you abandon the concept of the importance of law and return to rule by men, not bound by every little law.
