Saddam Hussein is a brutal murdering, criminal who has used weapons of mass destruction on his own people, and would use them again. He must be stopped, or, instead of a few people being killed, millions would be at risk. We need to take him out this time. I'm hoping that killing Saddam is a goal of Clinton this time.

That's the moral rationale behind the current actions. The fact that he's sitting on a part of a piece of real estate that happens to fuel the economies of the world is a pragmatic one. Both are valid reasons to check his evil agenda, IMO. I detest war and the killing of truly innocent civilians and wish there was another way to remove the threat he represents.
