You know full well that the case for action has not become more compelling, except in the most self-serving sense, in the last few days. And referring to Defense Sec Cohen as "republican" is disingenuous. Traditionally, Party affiliation ends when you go to work for the opposition Party, as Jeanne Kirkpatrick, John Connolly and a number of other Democrats who have worked in cabinet and other policy level posts in Republican administrations would tell you.
