[GTE]

I was browsing the GTE website trying to figure out all of their web of subsidiaries because I noticed WSTL announcements with GTE a year or so ago announcing "ADSL Onsite" service. I cannot find ref. to this on GTE website and was under the impression that Orckit got GTE main (for lack of better title) and WSTL got Govt. services. However, their is also GTE Communications, which is the sub. that WSTL won the contract with. This service must be concentrated in California and seems to correspond with some of the Apartment building type implementations. ALso, I noticed something that seemed to suggest that GTE owns some of the Canada Telcoms (http://www.gte.com/AboutGTE/bus.html). It would seem that GTE worldwide is using WSTL/ALA/ORCTF/Fujitsu/Nortel? Definitely not committing to just one vendor.

Also, I noticed a long time ago a development agreement between Nortel and WSTL. What happened to that??

If Dr. Tech is right, I believe the possibilities for financing (data integrator) could be LU, Nortel, or Fujitsu. Probably LU, IMO.
