We will take our revenge prior to 2000. I agree with all you say here, but I think the "Livingston Sacrafice" was part of this orchestrated effort...enter DeLay. TEXAS CONSERVATIVE...need I say more? To the President...STAND YOUR GROUND...YOU HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE UNREPRESENTED MAJORITY... Livingston was gonna leave anyway...DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS TACTIC.

re: if we ever had a woman President, and she lied, under oath, about her age, she could be impeached. You're still missing the point. The issue is not what the lie is about! If ANY president were to lie under oath about ANYTHING, then s/he would have clearly demonstrated, by her/his obvious disregard for the rule of law, that s/he was unfit to hold the highest office in the country and MUST be impeached. We cannot allow our leaders to break laws with impunity. That path leads to repression and tyranny.

Whatever message Livingston wanted to send, I don't care. Probably the RR booted him out. Why should we care about thieves falling out among themselves???? As for President Clinton, if he resigns, he will in effect be converting this Presidential system of governance into a Parliamentary one, wherein a simple majority of legislators can take him out on a vote of no-confidence. We might end up seeing Presidents lasting in power for a few weeks only to be kicked out by Congress, to be replaced by another, followed by another and another and another... That shouldn't happen. Definitely not! President Clinton is the only person who can stand between us and that scenario...
