He's a lame duck, 2nd term President, so he has absolutely nothing to lose politically by trying to run out the clock. He has zero credibility with the Congressional leadership and consequently I wouldn't be expecting anything significant to come out of his remaining tenure (whatever that will be). Precisely, and the GOP has everything to lose by going against the will of the majority of voters. He, Clinton, is already so damaged by this that he will be unable to push any of his agenda through. Isn't that what you want? Look at this POLITICALLY. Look at the future, the political ramifications. If "we got the bastard" means more to the GOP than leading this country into the next century, then so be it. I think it's dumb, personally. JB
