I have a question on the pdQ phone coming next year. Will we be able to simply dial up our existing ISP or will we be required to pay another ISP for wireless service? Thanks.

Engineer:

What is involved in setting up a phone to be used in a service area?
Say I grab an 800 Q phone off the assembly line and take it to Florida. Assuming the system is compatible frequency wise, what needs to be done? Specifically, is a particular manufacturer's phone necessarily compliant with the established network? Assign a number and it is up and running?

Thanks ahead of time.
