Public opinion poll of GOP lowest in 14 years according to CNN and has been going down ever since Clinton became Pres! They seem to know precisely what to do to get on the wrong side of the issues. In stark contrast today was the 2 busloads of Democrats who went to support Bill Clinton as opposed to the knifes in the back from the GOP members for Livingston. In fact Livingston got more moral support from Democrats than Republicans. As words got parsed over the past, wasn't it Livingston who went after the Speakers job? Did he know about his sexual escapades before he sought the Speakers job? Christopher Cox says he meets the new higher standard of morality! There apparently is at least one other Republican who sat on the Juduciary committee who has been into sexual exploits. Will there be 13 house managers from the GOP who won't have had sexual affairs? Now that they are likely to be found out by the media, this could be a problem, oh maybe Christopher Cox is one because he already has claimed to meet the higher standard of morality with a smile. With Hyde an adulterer himself who had intercourse, will he lead the prosecution in the Senate? Will more details come out about what Hydes past included? This is totally amazing. Instead of having to put up with 2nd rate afternoon soaps, just turn on the TV tune into CNN, and see the real thing. Just wait till we get Tripp and Ken Starr on the stand, and find out in a properly directed court procedural setting some of the details, tactics about who was doing what when. Should be exciting. I expect it to be eventually revealed who was paid what to set up Bill Clinton. This is really distracting for daytrading the S&Ps and watching the price of gold.
