I suspect Clinton's attitude toward Larry Flynt right now is, "With friends like this, who needs enemies?" Flynt is obviously determined to make his point, but I suspect a lot of people, and probably a lot of Democrats, think that his cure is worse than the disease. His particular brand of revenge is a lot like pouring gasoline on a raging fire. I admit that there is a certain appeal to exposing hypocrisy, but I sure don't approve of people being driven out of office over it. One thing I can't figure out is why did Livingston resign when Hyde didn't?
